ARTIST

Arnel David Garcia is a mixed media assembler who works with junk art, painting, sculpture, art installations, and fractional art. He is also an art critic and frequently conducts art talks. He was involved with the Central Luzon Creative and Cultural Association (CCA) for 6years and served on the National Committee for Visual Arts, which he considers one of his greatest achievements. Arnel transforms everyday items like clothes and shoes into art, addressing environmental issues in the process. He highlights how, in the past, materials like cell phones were used for art, but with modern waste and pollution, their transformation into art has become more meaningful and impactful.

The artist is a mixed media assembler, working with junk art, painting, sculpture, art installations, and fractional art. They also serve as an art critic and conduct art talks. SOCIETY

The artist believes that art is essential to life, and without it, the world would be empty. They view themselves as a universal artist, embracing all seven forms of art. Visual arts, which include sculpture, architecture, and painting, are their main focus, but they also acknowledge other art forms like literature, cinema, and dance. The artist has a diverse background, having been a dancer in a breakdance troop and a member of a band for 12 years. They performed with their band, even abroad, and have connections with notable figures in the music industry, including a guitarist from Rivermaya.
