ART STYLE &
INSPIRATION

The artist primarily paints barrio scenes, depicting children playing and neighbors gossiping, using oil and acrylic paints. They prefer oil due to its bendability and rich texture, while they find watercolor challenging because of its delicate nature. Over time, they have learned watercolor techniques, understanding that it requires preserving light areas rather than layering them like in oil painting. For inspiration, they believe beauty can be found anywhere. Their artworks speak for themselves, avoiding excessive complexity to ensure they remain accessible and appreciated by viewers.

ART TO
SOCIETY

The artist sees art as an endless journey of creativity, expressing this through the saying, “Art is the endless creativity of our endless story.” They admire artists like Picasso and Fernando Amorsolo for their unique philosophies. For them, creating art requires careful planning, similar to architecture or car design. They emphasize starting with a small study to analyze colors and composition before scaling up. Without preparation, facing a blank canvas can be overwhelming, which is why they believe in sketching first to ensure a well-thought-out final piece.
